The messages we receive from our parents

By admin July 29th, 2010, under Uncategorized

The messages we receive from our parents are stored upon them as if etched in stone. We internalize these messages and accept them without question as we mature because in the child?s mind, mommy and daddy – who are our ultimate authority figures – said it is so!

When a little girl has a father who is physically present but emotionally absent and does not provide her with the love and nurturing she needs, she will grow up with a big empty space in her heart where that love should have been. The message – although unspoken – tells her that she is not important and not deserving of love.

This little girl will subconsciously seek a man with her father?s rejecting characteristics – so she can relive her initial relationship – and this time she will win.

When a little boy grows up with a weak and dependent mother who increasingly leans on him in his father?s absence, he is put in an adult situation inappropriate to his years.

Folding screens still popular

Remember the old movies where the actress or actor would slip behind a decorative folding screen to discreetly change clothes while still conversing with a guest in the room? Those quaint folding screens, also called privacy screens, are still in vogue today. They have many uses, and not necessarily related to apparel change.

Are there school-age children in your house? If their bedroom space allows it, put up a folding screen to create a study area. It will help separate homework and study time from leisure time. It might even help their focus.

This idea works in the master bedroom or the guest bedroom, too, if either of those rooms is used as a home office. Try to set the folding screen so it blocks off the computer and other work-related things from view of the bed.

It has been suggested that you will sleep more peacefully without those objects in your direct line of sight.

Do two children share one room? A room divider can be both decorative and a delineator of space. It could save you from, “This is my space and don’t even think about crossing this line!” arguments. If the children sharing the bedroom have different decorating tastes, the room divider can solve that problem. Even the divider can be decorated one way on one side and another way on the other.

Screens can also stand alone as decorations. A screen can be hung on the wall as art. Or it can stand in a corner, serving as an elegant dining-room piece. It can also be used as a headboard, either hanging on the wall or just sitting on the floor behind the mattress. It’s up to your space and your tastes.

What if your home is on the smaller side? A room divider can make a small room look bigger

These are also caused due to over exposure of sunlight. Premature aging, wrinkles, sagging are some of the reasons for taking extra care during summer.

Use water proof sunscreen to avoid loosing the essence of the sunscreen. Apply it at least 15 minutes before you go out in the sun. It will help you in the long run. Have at least 12 glasses of water in a day to avoid dehydration and to protect your skin. It helps in cleansing your bowels so as to be free from any kind of acne or boils which are caused due to such reasons.

Wear proper clothing when out, carry a wide-brimmed hat as it would cover your face and protect your eyes. Such hats protect your hair too from eroding the outer layer of hair and making it coarse. Wearing shades or glasses can also be useful. You can spray sunscreen on your hair which would protect your hair. Avoid being in sun between 11am to 3 pm. If you don?t have hat or cap carry umbrellas and wear loose fitting clothes.

It’s in the interests of landlords and tenants to work together

BREAK options have had a relatively short life in the context of commercial property.

Resisted by landlords, desired by tenants and contested by lawyers interpreting what constitutes effective deter mination.

The current economic downturn and moreover the speed of decline has brought a different, commercial focus on break clauses and their value in the present market.

With the rate of decline in UK commercial property values slowing noticeably from the freefall of 2008, many property investors with an eye on their funding facilities and loan-to-value (LTV) covenants are conducting revaluations with growing frequency.

For the independent valuer, break options represent a landmark where the proverbial income stream cascades over the edge of the waterfall, leaving values to plummet.

So you’re on the fast track to business success. You’ve just created a business website and you can’t wait to make that first online sale. Your website is perfect in your opinion and it couldn’t be more colorful and full of images. It’s a sure thing your sales will rapidly increase! A few months pass by and you’re still waiting. Why aren’t people visiting my website and why haven’t we had as much as a sniff at a sale? While there could be many reasons surrounding this problem, one of the most common is lack of SEO.

Search Engine Optimization makes it easier for search engines, such as Google and Yahoo, to locate, categorize, index and rank web content. It’s not uncommon for small business owners to establish a website but not establish a web presence. Put it this way, if your website content is not optimized it’s comparable to having a billboard on a dessert island. It’s there but no one is looking! It’s important to provide excellent, optimized content to get noticed.

If you are involved in inbound marketing or have an inbound marketing consultant helping you with your online marketing, chances are SEO has been employed. If you’re a small business owner handling your internet marketing and are unfamiliar with SEO, listen up because it’s important you understand why you need SEO.

It would take a very long time to present the overall benefits and SEO tactics since they are changing constantly
